We're pleased to announce the first World Burlesque Day Festival.
Having started with a small idea in 2020, World Burlesque Day has blossomed into an annual online activation reaching 151 countries and we had a viral moment in April 2026 with the word 'burlesque' achieving a 38 million media reach which is an estimated 16 million people.
So it's truly now a worldwide celebration and with many countries and organisers creating events, we decided we would do our own in-person event.
- Saturday 24th April 2027
- Sunday 25th April 2027
- Monday 26th April 2027
We have already had an overwhelming response to some social media posts on Facebook so we are making it concrete.
Two venues have been secured and the activities will include a retrospective into the history of burlesque in London and Britain more widely (including the genre of poetry), shows, classes and Afternoon Tea.
(How very British!)
We are not yet announcing our tickets and packages but please stay tuned to this page as more unfolds.
